A little taste from the past...

Harmony has been living at home this summer and she has taken tons of great pictures for our family. Here are just a few from the past while.
Thanks Harmony! We love you!

Kimber and Liberty baking pies for last Thanksgiving. These they made totally themselves and they were sooooo proud.

This is a classis Liberty look. She is rockin' the hippy look, too!

These were Kimber's "Rodeo Princess" pictures. She LOVED the photo shoot.

Kimber says this was when Harmony and Merrily took the girls to a rodeo - they had a great time and still talk about it.

Here I am a few weeks before the babies were born. I really was HUGE!

This was my birthday a week before the babies were born. I had no air and had to blow and blow to get the candles to go out.

Proud Papa and his munchkins. This was the morning after the babies were born.

My sweet twins when they were still tiny and sleepy.

These are from Kimber's fall photos. She was not cooperating and had cheesy smiles in almost every picture - but Harmony is a master and got a few that look like her.

These are from Liberty's fall photos. She often goes to milk Betsy (Merrily's jersy cow) with Merrily and Harmony got some great shots.

Hope yuu enjoyed this little blast from the past.

AAAHHHHH! True has this "SCARY FACE" mask and one day Liberty put it on with hopes of scaring True when he came home. Kimber came around the corner first and thought it was great. Then True came around the coner and put on a nice show for her.

Liberty had been out with True working on the truck when she came in and asked me to wash her hands. She had no idea it was all over her face as well. When I burst out laughing, she dind't couldn't figure out what was so funny, which made me laugh that much more.

Where did they go? In one of Aunt Harmony or Aunt Merrily's t-shirts, the girls thought is was super funny to lift the shirts just over their heads while still inside. I thought it was hillarious.

For Liberty's birthday, Kimber wanted to give something extra special. She told me that maybe she could wrap up her Teddy and give it to Liberty and they could share it (Yes, one of my proudest moments as a parent! She LOVES her Teddy and doesn't go anywhere without it). Instead, we hunted up Kitty, which had been missing for quite a while, and wrapped it up for Liberty. After opening it she said, "Now I can sleep!"

We love you Liberty! Happy 3rd Birthday!

3 Months Old!

The babies are now 3 months old and growin' like weeds. They are both 24 inches long and are 12.5 lb and 15 lb.!! (I'll let you guess which is which!) They like to look at each other and a few times I have caught them smiling at each other. SO CUTE!!

They have been smiling and cooing and have found their hands. They are doing awesome and two weeks ago began sleeping through the night, mostly. They get up about 7 am and are on a nice 4 hour schedule, sleeping from about 8:30 - 11 when they eat again and so on. They go to sleep around 10 at night and most nights sleep till 6:30 or 7 the next morning. Can you say HOOORRRAAAYYYY!!!

I don't know why this picture is turned sideways, but you can still tell how adorable they are, and that it is fun to try to match them, sort of. :)

We love you Babies!!

Twin Time

Many of you may not know that BOTH my parents are a twin ..... that's right! My mom has a twin brother and my dad has a twin sister. So, I guess I was bound from birth to also have twins. Thanks Mom and Dad for giving me super-duper twin genes :) Love you and may my sisters also have the super-duper twin genes.
Here are the twins holding the twins!

Cooling Off

This is our swimming pool - an old water trough! That's ranch life. Kimber and Liberty love it and it is big enough for mom or dad to get in with them. They like to float on their backs while we hold the straps to their life jackets so they won't roll over. Liberty even put her face in the water once and didn't choke (it was kinda gross cause the water had yuck floating in it, but what can you do!). It is wonderful on our 100+ days.

Story Time

The babies are 8 weeks old - What???!!!! Time has flown by and they are growing and changing and are getting cuter by the day. They are starting to sleep longer durring the night and are on a very nice 4 hour schedule durring the day. I am able to get more done and they are happier with more consistent naps. We have even gotten a few smiles! They light up the room.

These little matching outfits have a fun story. When I was 11 or 12, I would go with my mom to a dress store called "Minnie World" where frillie and floofy and twirly dresses were sold. We shopped to my new baby sister (Ashely) and while in there I found the most adorable matching dress and boy outfit. I showed my mom and told her how cute it would be to put them on twins. I guess we went to the store a few times and each time I looked at the outfits and showed them to my mom. Well, they went on sale and my mom bought them and gave them to me as a gift. (Remember, I was maybe 11 or 12 and the prospect of any children was 10 years down the road.) Anyway, I was thrilled and of course assumed I would have the twins to wear the clothes. Years passed and I forgot about the baby clothes tucked away in storage. After I got married and had Kimber and Liberty, my mom found the matching clothes and gave them to me and I hung them in the closet thinking that I would just let my kids were them, never imagining that to be at the same time. More time passed and I found out we were expecting again and then Surprise! it was twins. When I got home and it all began to sink in, I remembered the baby clothes haning in the closet. Well you can imagine my shock to think that I was actually going to have the boy/girl twin babies to wear those cute matching clothes. I called my mom and she had thought about it, too and we were both super excited. As my huge belly grew even bigger, I would go look in the closet at the clothes and renew my determination and now I get the reward by seeing my sweet little munchkins in the outfits that for so long sat and waited for just the right babies to come.

Nice, huh? He is a ladies man, especially in this house full of girls!

This was a little dress that I wore as a baby. Gotta love the retro!

Cindy Lou, Who?

Check out this "Whoville" hair Liberty ended up with one day. It thought it was blog-worthy.

That's my silly "Wibety", as she calls herself.

Firepower and Fun

Check out those hot babes and their guns! Don't mess with the moms!

A couple of Fridays ago we drove up the road to shoot guns with our awesome friends Kristin and Travis. (Check out their blog to see more great pictures of the night and pictures of their adorable 5 month old twin girls.) We had tons of fun and Kimber and Liberty even got to shoot a gun! No, not by themselves. They did great; I think they get their shooting skills from their Mommy.

Check out their mad skills. 'Atta girl! Boys, watch out, here come the Pearce girls!

Aren't they spiffy in their ear-muffs?

Kimber and Liberty lined up shotgun shells for us to shoot at.

So this is my gun. Oh, Yeah, baby! It's a, um, a ....... really cool looking gun! And with me holding it, it looks even better. I gotta say, I'm not too shabby when it comes to hitting shotgun shells over.
Super shooting Kris, we may make a gun-lover out of you yet!

Durring all the fun, True's sharp eye saw a wriggly Bull snake (yuck!) and we all know what he had to do ........ he caught it! By that time the girls had gotten bored and were sitting in the van. True put the snake on the windshield for them to see; they thought it was great!

Then, he had to chase Travis and Kristin with it while I watched and laughed. "Run Kristin!" Sorry, Kris, but it was really funny! True knew better than to try chasing me with it.

Thanks Trav and Kris for a great night of awesome firepower and fun.

More Twin Pictures

So life with twins is crazy but oh, so much fun! They are just about the sweetest babies on earth and have been so good. I sort of feel bad for everyone who only gets one at a time! My mom and sister Ashley have been here all week helping and it has been really good having them. Kimber and Liberty needed extra special attention and they were able to give it to them. They have also cleaned and done dishes and fixed meals and helped witht the babies. Such a huge help.
Now for some fun pictures. This one is my very favorite taken so far. Perhaps a glimps of the future....
He is already such a patient little man!

By the way, we have decided to name our little girl.......

Serenity Pearce

and True has until tomorrow (Monday) to come up with a better name or our little boy will be....

Sterling Pearce. (Everyone but True loves this name)

The hat came with the outfit, which is why he is wearing it, but it makes him look a little funny.

Here are our little jail-birds. I love these "Dr. Seuss" jammies. Sterling looks a little shorter here but his legs are scrunched up more that Serenity's. They are pretty much the same size right now. We have an appointment tomorrow and will find out how big they are at 2 weeks. Can you believe that? Two weeks old tomorrow!

The twins are here!

Baby girl was born at approx. 11:05 last night. She weighed 6 lbs 13 ounces and was about 19.5 inches long(the nurses did a poor job of measuring).

Baby boy was born about 4.5 minutes later and weighed 6 lbs 11 ounces and was about 20 inches long.

Not bad sized babies for being 37 weeks.

Both babies are super healthy and are eating like champs. We are still at the hospital since they won't let us leave. I am doing everything in my power to make them wish we weren't still here. They have no medical reasons to keep us. They must not be able to charge the insurance as much if we don't stay the full 24 hours. It looks like we'll be leaving about 11pm as thats when the 24 hours mark is reached.

Neither Andrea nor myself got much sleep last night. I got a couple of hours and I think Andrea got about 45 minutes.

I drove home and brought Kimber and Liberty in to see the babies. Of course they were a big hit with Kimber and Liberty. We're going to have to protect them from Liberty as her love is a little rough.

Andrea is doing well but is very sore. For those of you who know or understand she went from being 4.5 to fully dialated in about 1.5 hours. She's tough as nails!

Anyway, more and better pictures will follow soon. Also, at the nurses requests, we're going to wait the full 3o days before naming them. They love me:)
